Sound Healing in Ruby Valley: Bringing Peace to Nepal's Forgotten Elders
High in Sertung, Ruby Valley, many of the young people have left their villages in search of work and opportunity. Behind them, their elders remain — living quietly, often alone, waiting for their children to return. It was here that our team came to share something simple but powerful: the healing sound of the Himalayan singing bowl. A Visit That Began with Giving In partnership with Givel Loves, we carried a donation of 288 school bags to two local schools, supporting the children of this remote region. But we also brought our singing bowls, hoping to offer the elders a moment of comfort and calm. The Moment the Bowls Began to Sing As the first notes filled the room, the elders listened in complete stillness. Slowly, tears began to fall. A deep sense of relaxation settled over them. Holding a bowl gently near the ear, letting it hum softly, brought a peace that words could not reach. For many, it was the first time they had ever felt sound touch them so deeply. For us, it was an unforgettable experience.
