Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Healing .Nestled in the sacred hills of Kirtipur, Kathmandu — one of the world’s most powerful spiritual energy centers — Himalayan Nāda is a sound healing collective devoted to a timeless truth: sound is medicine.
Nepal is the birthplace of the Himalayan Singing Bowl. For millennia, this instrument has been used by sages and yogis in the very land where Buddha attained awakening, where Guru Rinpoche and Milarepa realized higher consciousness, and where seekers have journeyed for centuries in pursuit of inner transformation.

At Himalayan Nāda, we carry this living tradition forward.

Our Philosophy

We believe sound is more than music — it is a bridge to balance.
Through the resonance of singing bowls, gongs, and voice harmonics, we entrain the nervous system, harmonize brainwaves, release emotional blockages, and restore natural energy flow. In the profound stillness that follows, the body and mind align — and self-healing begins.
Our mission is to preserve and share these ancient Himalayan sound healing traditions, guiding modern seekers toward holistic wellness, clarity, and inner harmony.
"Where Sound Becomes Medicine."

Meet Nirgaman Maharjan (“Boo: Khya”)
Founder & Certified Sound Healing Practitioner
Nirgaman Maharjan is one of Nepal’s leading young sound healers and the founder of Himalayan Nada Sound Healing Centre. He specializes in creating immersive, restorative soundscapes using Himalayan Singing Bowls, Gongs, Crystal Singing Bowls, Tingsha, and Didgeridoo — experiences designed to quiet the mind, release physical tension, and gently regulate the nervous system.
His approach weaves ancient Himalayan sound traditions with modern acoustic science, offering a grounded and effective path for those navigating workaholic stress, anxiety, depression, chronic migraines, sleep difficulties, and burnout.
Nirgaman’s journey into sound healing was deeply personal. After two decades as a Guitarist, Vocalist, Composer, and Lyricist with the local folk pagan metal band The Boo: Khya, a pivotal gift changed everything: seven singing bowls from Hong Kong–based sound healer Mr. Ernest Tang. This opened a door he never knew existed.
He began sharing sound sessions with 50 children aged 4 to 12 at a Dhamma Camp, then extended his practice to the elderly communities of Kirtipur and Ruby Valley. Witnessing profound shifts in body, mind, and spirit, he realized that sound healing was not just a practice — it was a human necessity for peace and wellness.
The resonant frequencies of the healing bowls also played a vital role in his own recovery from long-term manic depression and anxiety — an experience that deepens his compassion and commitment to every session he holds.
Today, Nirgaman facilitates private sessions, group sound baths, community outreach programs, and corporate wellness workshops. He holds academic certifications in Sound Healing from Meeting Point, Hong Kong and Santalum Sound Healing, France.
Through Himalayan Nada Sound Healing Centre, he remains committed to providing safe, nurturing, and deeply grounded spaces where clients can step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with their natural state of harmony.

Our Lineage: Ernest Tang

The roots of our practice extend through the guidance of Ernest Tang, an experienced singing bowl teacher and holistic therapist dedicated to the integration of body, mind, and spirit.
Between 2006 and 2010, Ernest faced severe challenges of cancer and its recurrence. This life-and-death journey profoundly awakened his deep exploration into natural healing and the truth of life. He excels at integrating the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Doshas and Chakras, Yoga philosophy, and Buddhist wisdom. Through meditation and mindfulness, he guides students to recognize the impact of emotions on health, achieving genuine healing that benefits both self and others.
Ernest is the founder of Meeting Point, a professional holistic healing and training institute in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 2018, Meeting Point has conducted over 300 singing bowl courses, accredited by the Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH), and the Nepal Sound Healing Center.
